Alternative Stag and Hen Destinations
The sight of fancy-dress-clad women and drunken, rowdy men bar crawling their way round UK cities has become a familiar scene when it comes to stag and hen celebrations. If you'd rather spend your last night of freedom doing something a little less, ahem, tacky, then why not give one of these less predictable ideas a go:
BOYS: Golf in Spain
If you want to escape the dreary British weather and bond with the lads without the excessive beer guzzling, a golfing holiday in Southern Spain could be just the ticket. Not only can you compare handicaps, but you'll be able to catch some rays before the Big Day to boot. The La Manga Las Lomas Resort in Murcia is an absolute beauty for both the quality of its courses and accommodation.

GIRLS: Salsa dancing in Barcelona
Ladies, if you don't want your husband-to-be returning with a better suntan than you, round up the girls and jet off to sunny Barcelona where you can enjoy your last few days of freedom in the arms of a Spanish salsa dancer. You will be paired up with professionals who will teach you all the spicy Latin moves before heading out to one of the city's lively nightclubs where you can swing your hips until the early hours. Just don't forget to brush up your other half's skills on your return - you don't want him showing you up on the first dance. . .

BOYS: Las Vegas pool parties
It's your last few days of freedom, so what better way to spend it than in the original 'Sin City'... The ultimate adult's playground is not exactly an un-heard of destination for raucous stags, but its certainly more exotic than your average city bar crawl. If you're going all out, be sure to stay in the incredible Bellagio Hotel and Casino, and if you don't get lucky on the tables, head to one of the Strip's infamous pool parties where silicone-enhanced lovelies will provide some welcome eye-candy. Sorry girls, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

GIRLS: Winetasting in France
Your browser may not support display of this image. If you want a slightly more refined experience than your typical hen do but don't want to cut out the booze entirely, a wine-tasting tour in the South of France could be the perfect compromise. Tours can last from 90 minutes to a couple of days where you can sample top notch French vino and champagne then sober up around the shops!

BOTH: Zorbing in Brighton
The bizarre but undeniably entertaining pursuit of 'zorbing' first took off in New Zealand, but if you can't afford the airfare down under, gather up your buddies and head to Devil's Dyke in Brighton. Zorbing quite simply involves getting strapped into a giant plastic ball while then being hurtled downhill - you can even choose to have water sloshing around in the ball with you. Don't forget your camera.
